Nats!
DMF:SF info has been posted. Will be in San Mateo (south of SF) on Feb. 27-March 1. Flights look in the <$150 range. Peoples' thoughts on going?
Also, I was looking at airfare for it and noticed that American has tickets from Seattle to GenCon for $238 right now. Cheap...

Re: Nats!
Flights for the DMF seem to be a bit more expensive right now (cheapest is around $160).
For the drive: It's ~800 miles each way, so ~1600 round trip. Assuming you take a bad car and get 20 MPG and that gas is $2/gallon, that's $160 for the trip. Some people talked about it and while we agreed that it's quite a bit cheaper to drive, the time to do so might be difficult to get. Google claims 12 hours, 40 minutes to drive, though, which isn't quite as long as we were thinking. Still, if you want to get any playing in on Friday you have to leave early or be lacking in sleep on Friday.
I personally am probably going to fly due to the thing with the work and the getting time off, but I think anyone interested in driving should try talking to RJ to see if he is going to drive again.

Is that $238 each way? 'Cause that's not so cheap.LwoodY2K wrote:

Re: Nats!
It was for round trip when I looked. Last two years were 400+ round trip, so $238 was a lot cheaper.

Re: Nats!
When I looked just a couple days ago, it seemed that it was $230 one way. Which isn't a good deal, but is much more in line with what I'd expect to have to pay.LwoodY2K wrote:It was for round trip when I looked. Last two years were 400+ round trip, so $238 was a lot cheaper.

Re: Nats!
OK, I bit the bullet on Nats for $233. Frontier there, United back, each bought on their own sites. northwest is still $240.
Details there: Leaves from Seattle at 2:39pm, stops in Denver (but no connecting required), $113
Details back: Leaves from Indy at 7, connecting in Denver, $120
