DMF:A quick recap
Might do more detailed things later, but wrath/realms look to be preventing that, so I figured better now than never.
Didn't have a great winning weekend, but oh well.
Friday:
Gadgetzan: 1-1 drop with a weak pool. Found out after I got back that I didn't actually get dropped until the 4th round though, ouch.
ipod draft: 2-1, decent cards, lost on time (I think) the first round.
Saturday:
DMF: Decent but not great pool. Figured it wasn't bad enough to insta-drop. Started 0-2, then 4-2, then 4-3. Finished 33rd with packs to 32nd. Great dinner at CPK though. Especially the soda.
Sunday:
ipod draft: 2-0, finishing second round at about 1230. Leveling contest started at 1. Lost solidly but not quickly in the third round and was too late for the leveling contest. And managed to get third place on T2, which was nothing (where 2nd was 6 packs).
Overall:
9-6 (9-8 on paper, though), winning EA dreamstate and a deckbox (plus some packs from the beanbag toss), so not a great tournament. Had fun seeing my parents, though.

Wrath? Like wrath that you didn't do well? Or some other sort of wrath?LwoodY2K wrote:Might do more detailed things later, but wrath/realms look to be preventing that, so I figured better now than never.

Yeah, that whole "weak pool/decent but not great pool" thing is why I try to stick to Constructed, or at least Draft. People keep trying to convince me it's not so bad, but I think they're nuts.

Like the MMO expansion, "Wrath of the Lich King" which came out last Thursday.

It's a bit of an inside joke - I ended up getting like 8 refills on my soda, including a cup to go. There were also some amusing comments from our server on it.
