Activity levels

Post by LwoodY2K on Tue Oct 28, 2008 9:17 am

So based on posting stuff yesterday and not seeing any responses, it seems like people are hardly sitting around spamming the refresh button. If there is anyone around, any opinions on if it's due to a lack of content, being busy with other stuff, hating me, etc.? This is somewhat easier than emailing/calling people for discussion purposes, but it seems like it's not exactly on the hot list so I'm wondering how much effort is worth using if people have systematic complaints.

My personal guess is that there's not enough activity for people to usually see new stuff, and so (especially when I was gone for worlds, since I've posted a lot) activity died down and with noone posting, people stopped bothering. Any other opinions?

I've never had a huge amount to post here. Also, since it's a fairly new site, I don't always remember to check it.

Also, with so few members, we're always going to have a lack of goings on here. There's a snowball effect - the more people you have posting, the more each person tends to post, because there's more to respond to.

Right, that's exactly why I'm posting silly topics like this one Smile

I find myself to be more of a lurker when it comes to message boards … doesn’t really help with discussions and all.

Eh, I think the real problem is that we don't really have enough to talk about to fill up the board, so infrequent visits are usually enough, so people don't bothering to visit frequently. But lurker-types probably don't help either Razz
