The top 8 was:

Matt Walsh with Alliance Rogue Solo

Gavin Price with Daspien Blackblade Solo

Jon Loucks with Vorna Control

? Warrior Solo

Daniel Hanson (me) with Taheo Skyspeaker Midrange

Chris with Kil'zin

Kevin Lambert with Black Ice Myriam

Alex Kim with Midrange Warlock

The top 8 was great for a few reasons:

It was very diverse with the only deck represented twice being Rogue Solo (and they were different heroes)

It shows that skill is very relevant in WoW Constructed ...

Might do more detailed things later, but wrath/realms look to be preventing that, so I figured better now than never.

Didn't have a great winning weekend, but oh well.

Friday:

Gadgetzan: 1-1 drop with a weak pool. Found out after I got back that I didn't actually get dropped until the 4th round though, ouch.

ipod draft: 2-1, decent cards, lost on time (I think) the first round.

Saturday:

DMF: Decent but not great pool. Figured it wasn't bad enough to insta-drop. Started 0-2, ...

I'm sure people were watching, but I'll summarize. Might do a full report later too.

Alfax and I were both playing Lionar control which went into Illidan.

Kevin was playing Bojo with black felsteel bracers and about 12 allies.

Andy played Vorna control into Illidan, though with a lot more allies than the french version. Might be close to Markoff's, but I haven't checked.

I started 2-4 and finished 5-4 for the same record as last year but with the worst tiebreakers of the 5-4s ...

Due to worlds going on at the same time and the fact that a lot of people in our playgroup already qualified, there wasn’t a large turnout for this event. Either way, I decided to put together a tournament report. We had a whopping 6 people show up, including me. Unfortunately, one of the players had an illegal deck (non block), which reduced the player count to 5. Besides RJ, there really wasn’t anyone there that I recognized. Decks played was as follows:

1 Red desecrator aggro

Gavin is right, I should write a tournament report on this. For now, this will do.

Dan Hanson is the man and comes up with great decks. I told him hunter won't work, he asked why?, and I really didn't have a good answer for him. We tested, and Ice Trap was ridiculous, so I said I would play the deck. I'm not going to include an exact list for his sake. Luckily the deck was awesome and I did well despite never having cast a hunter spell, ever, never ever, before round one of the tournament.
