Right now Southwest is having a 48 HR sale. I found out about this too late because this sale end today on July 8. This deal work when you are flying between Sept 9 to Nov 18. So it would only work with worlds in Austin, TX. (too bad those date is not during Gen Con). It would cost $180 round trip.

Practice for Realm Champ

The format for Realm Championship is 3 rounds of constructed and 3 rounds of Draft (DoW/DoW/BoG). I would like to do some practice with mostly on Draft at FPG on Sat, but there have been small (like 0 to 3) amounts of players showing up to FPG for the past couple of months beside on Realm Qualifiers. Is anyone interested in doing some drafts at FPG? I would like to see at least 8 players for a draft.

So since I had a little free time, I checked out some other flights for DMFs coming up (from Seattle). The site I was using (farecast.com) doesn't have some airlines, tohugh, particularly southwest. Charlotte ('April') - I checked each weekend, just for fun. I looked for leaving thursday, returning Sunday after 5pm or Monday. Flights are in to CLT. With one stop, these are basically an allday flights to get there since it's got that 3 hour timezone thing going on. 1stop flights ...

DMF: Hamsterdance (and others)

Northwest flies direct to Amsterdam from Seattle. I picked a random weekend in September (which is when the DMF is scheduled now) and was surprised/impressed to see that. Unfortunately tickets are like $950, so I don't think it's especially likely. Icelandair did have $850 1stop ones, but still a bit pricey. I also checked for DMF: Singapore ($1300+), DMF: Turin ($1200+), and DMF: Sydney ($900+), which makes all those look unlikely. Austin is currently looking pricey ($385 direct?), ...

Also, I was looking at airfare for it and noticed that American has tickets from Seattle to GenCon for $238 right now. Cheap...

Upper Deck Day

I like posting things, so... This Saturday/Sunday, there's 'Upper Deck Day' which will include tournaments for all their games. So i'm playing the WoW MMO, and a troll mob starts to cast Serpent Form. I'm like "no you don't PUMMEL!" and I was so happy, thinking to myself "thank god that didn't resolve, I hate playing against that spell..." then I realized its the MMO, not the TCG...whatever I was still really happy.

...then I realized after I killed him that I should have called a judge anyway, trolls can't cast serpent form!
